The fellowship is structured around five pillars. Together, they take a clinician with a sharp idea and an NHS context, and turn them into an intrapreneur capable of delivering and scaling change in paediatric care.
A taught curriculum across 9 monthly intensives. Innovation methods, paediatric health economics, regulation (MHRA / DTAC / IG), AI in children's healthcare, behaviour change, and NHS adoption pathways.
Each fellow leads a sponsored 12-month project tied to a Trust priority. Backed by an executive sponsor, a clinical lead and a small delivery budget.
Triangulated mentorship: a senior paediatric clinician, an NHS operational leader, and an external industry or academic mentor matched to the project domain.
Curated exposure to industry, academia, the third sector and patient communities. The fellowship is the broker, fellows do not build alone.
Coaching for clinical leadership: communicating innovation, leading multidisciplinary teams, governance, and building a long-term innovation career.
